Father Arrested for Murder of Son in Ibb Governorate

Local authorities in the Houthi-controlled Ibb governorate have arrested a man suspected of murdering his son, whose body was discovered earlier this week at a qat farm in the Shaban district.

The victim, identified as Radman Yahya al-Ghanemi, was found dead with two gunshot wounds inflicted by a "Shiki" rifle. Initially, the victim's father reported the incident to the Shaban police station, formally accusing residents of the local village of committing the homicide.

Following an investigation, security forces discovered evidence suggesting that the father himself was responsible for the crime. Authorities allege that he attempted to obstruct the investigation by concealing the weapon and changing his clothing before filing a false report to mislead law enforcement officials.

The suspect has been taken into custody and is currently being held in prison. He has been referred to the Public Prosecution, where legal proceedings and a formal investigation into the circumstances of the murder are underway.
