Man Fatally Stabbed Over Minor Debt in Ibb Governorate

A young man has died after being fatally stabbed during a dispute over approximately 5,000 Yemeni rials in the Ibb Governorate. The incident occurred following an altercation with a khat seller regarding the sum of money.

Local sources reported that the victim, Shaeif Mansour Al-Hilali, sustained a stab wound to the heart with a traditional dagger. The incident took place at his workplace in the Mofraq Maitam area after a verbal argument escalated into a physical confrontation with an individual over the price of khat.

Al-Hilali was immediately transported to Al-Nisr Hospital but succumbed to his injuries en route. The value of the disputed amount did not exceed 5,000 Yemeni rials, equivalent to approximately 30 US dollars.

The incident has sparked widespread dismay among residents, who expressed shock at the escalating violence and the loss of life over trivial financial disagreements.
