Yemeni Government Forces Recapture Strategic Positions in Western Taiz

Yemeni government forces successfully regained control of the Al-Makahna and Al-Khazan hills in the Jabal Habashi district of western Taiz on Friday following intense clashes with Iranian-backed Houthi militias.

The seizure of these strategic positions coincides with an escalation of hostilities across the Maqbanah and Al-Kadaha fronts. Military reinforcements have been deployed to government-held lines to bolster defensive capabilities and counter ongoing Houthi incursions in the region.

A military source confirmed that government troops initially secured Al-Khazan hill before advancing to capture the adjacent Al-Makahna hill.
